Site work and paving for a civil project in Hazlet, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The scope of Work contemplated or the abovenamed Project includes, the removal and replacement of damaged and/or deteriorating concrete curb, the installation and/or repair of existing drainage pipe and inlets, the installation of HDPE underdrain pipe along the gutter line to pick up sump pump discharge in certain areas, milling of the existing pavement surface, and the installation of pavement base course or base course repairs as needed as determined by visual inspection of the milled pavement surface and a 2-inch pavement surface course overlay. As well as all other Work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents. All Work on this Contract shall be completed within 45 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. Contract Documents and Plans for the proposed Work, which have been prepared by Francis W. Mullan, P.E., C.M.E., of the firm of T&M Associates will be made available electronically or at the office of said Engineer at 11 Tindall Road, Middletown, NJ, 07748. Interested bidders must send an email request to Patti Sirico at PSirico@tandmassociates.com. Bidders interested in receiving bid packages electronically will be provided with a link t0 download. the offices of T&M Associates to defray the cost thereof. The provided Bid Packet must be completed in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and must be addressed to Township Clerk. Also, Bid Packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "The Township of Hazlet" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of this Project is required. The award of the Contract for this Project will not be made unless and until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of Hazlet in a lawful manner. Please be advised that this Project is being funded through Township of Hazlet. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976), vendors currently suspended, debarred or disqualified are excluded from participating on this Project. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the applicable statutory requirements of the Contract Documents and Plans which include all of the following: (i) N.J.A.C. 17:27; (ii) N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.; (iii) Business Registrations (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44); (iv) Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25, et seq.); (v) Public Work Contractor Registration (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48); and (vi) Affirmative Action Requirements (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1, et seq.); and any other legal requirements applicable to this Project. The Township of Hazlet intends to award this Project to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder in accordance with applicable law. The Township of Hazlet reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Packets to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made, or Bid Packets will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the opening of the Bid Packets. By Order of the Township of Hazlet MICHAEL SACHS, MAYOR NOTICE TO BIDDERS A NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed Bid Packets will be received by the Township Clerk for the Township of Hazlet, County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey, on March 11, 2025 at 11:00am prevailing time at Hazlet Township Municipal Building, located at 1766 Union Avenue, Hazlet, NJ 07730, at which time and place the Bid Packets will be publicly unsealed and its contents announced in public for BROWN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS. Bidders will be furnished with a hard copy of the Contract Documents upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable charge of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) payable to "T&M Associates" at the offices of T&M Associates to defray the cost thereof.
