Renovation of a mixed-use development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The contractor will provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials needed to complete work for project 534-23-513, O2, Med Gas Installation. This project includes the upgrade of B185. Remove all fixtures/medical instruments/TV from walls and store for later re-installation. Remove existing door and provide and install a glass ICU type door in place. Work will include all finishes (drywall [level 5], paint [primer, 2 coats], caulk, etc.) around the door to create a complete and working finished product which matches the existing ED to greatest extent possible. Paint colors can be obtained from the COR. Door shall be 4 panel trackless ICU door with the clear open of 42" and package width of 60". Contractor to field verify dimensions, package width can vary if required. Basis of design is Stanley ICU/CCU 7200 ICU. Finish and room markings to match existing ED doors. Contractor to provide shop drawing of door construction for approval prior to purchase. Provide and install a matching Med Gas header panel on west wall of room B185. Header should contain: one normal duplex receptacle fed from 2L1CC or 2L2CC; one emergency duplex receptacle fed from 1LE1CC; 2 medvac outlets; 2 med air outlets; 2 oxygen outlets; and should make provision for nurse call installation.Provide stamped shop drawings and calculation for med gas piping, capacity, layout. Ensure that installation is completed by ASSE certified technician and inspected and excepted by an independent ASSE certified inspector. Tie-in point for Medical gasses is believed to be above ceiling of Room B164. Contractor must test all impacted existing materials for asbestos and dispose of them according to state and federal regulations based on the testing. For purposed of bidding, contractor can assume that all demoed material will be disposed of as non-friable ACM. If test results demonstrate a variance to that assumption, a credit form or an addition to the contract will be negotiated at that time. 6. Install a matching ED room curtain across the door way. 7. Reinstall all previously removed wall fixtures/medical instruments/TV as directed by VA. 8. Scheduling and coordination with the VAHCS will be critical and must be approved by Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) prior to work. Project No. 534-23-513 Install Med Gas in B185 The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials needed to complete work for project 534-23-513, O2, Med Gas Installation. This project includes the upgrade of B185. Work will need to be done on working hours are 0700 - 1700 Monday to Friday, except for Federal holidays. To reduce patient impact, some work may need to take place during after-hours (1700 - 0700) or during weekends. Question Deadline 02/27/2025 at 3:00 PM ET A site visit is available as needed.
