**As of May 09, 2025, the project was awarded to Butcher & Sons, Inc. but the awarded amount is not available.** The Project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, appurtenances, transportation, mobilization, demobilization, utility termination and/or abandonment, lawful disposal of demolition waste, permits, insurance, and bonding necessary to complete the demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing building, site clearing, and site restoration at 266 N. Water Street, Kent OH. A hazardous materials assessment was conducted, and the City has had all regulated asbestos containing materials (RACM) removed from the building located at 266 N. Water Street, Kent OH, in accordance with all Ohio EPA requirements. Please be advised the Community Development Department office is closed on Fridays. All bids must be signed and submitted in accordance with the bid specifications The bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked Demolition-266 N. Water St. Kent, OH and submitted to the City of Kent Community Development Department. No electronic submissions will be accepted. The State of Ohio project cost threshold for payment of State of Ohio prevailing wage rates is $75,000. If prevailing wage rates are applicable to this Project, the Contractor shall be required to pay no less than the minimum wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Commerce-Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration for the applicable skilled craft(s) category(s) for Building Construction. The City of Kent OH reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest/best bidder. No bidder may withdraw a submitted bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
