Site work for a development in Ferron, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a development.

The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract to provide: Construction of approximately 2,000' of fencing to protect four different springs on Ferron Mountain in Sanpete county. It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. Questions Due Date: Feb 5th 2026, 12:00 PM MST Length of Contract: From time of award to September 30th, 2026. Vendor must guarantee its pricing for the duration of the contract. Mandatory Site Visit: A site visit will NOT be held prior to bidding. It is strongly recommended that each potential bidder inspect the site where services are to be performed and satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. SITE SPECIFICS: Location and Description: The four worksites are on the top of Ferron Mountain about 15 miles west of Ferron, Utah. The furthest west site is at the head of Mill Stream with the other three sites all being to the east. The sites have some rock outcroppings, and moderate slopes. There are trees along some portions of the fence with brush cover along other parts of the fence. The fence routes have been cleared but some trees may need to be removed from the planned fence route. The Manti-La Sal N.F. will stake/flag the routes and corners. Forest Service staff will take the contractor to the locations if requested. Access to the site: There is no road or motorized trail to any of the four sites. There are two foot or horse trails to the top of the plateau. Reaching the worksites will be done on foot or horseback traveling from 2-3.5 miles into the different sites. All tools and equipment will need to be hauled in by horse or by manpower. It will be the contractor's responsibility to get the equipment to the work site. The bottom pole should be a minimum of 12 inches off the ground and the top should be 48 inches maximum, and the middle pole equally spaced between the top and bottom poles. (see diagram). o Avoid large overlap at the ends of the poles (prefer 6"-8" overlap). Fastening: o Use 8-inch hex head lag bolts provided to secure poles to posts. o Drill a pilot hole before installing each lag bolt to avoid splitting the poles and posts. o Make sure each bolt is secured tightly holding the pole tightly against the post. Line Item 1, "Head of Mill Canyon Spring" o Distance from Trailhead 2.10 miles o 10,640 ft elevation o Approx total feet of Enclosure: 340' o Number of Poles: 51 o Number of Posts: 34 Line Item 2, "Willow Overlook/Lamonds Spring" o Distance from Trailhead 2.90 miles o 10,600 ft elevation o Approx total feet of Enclosure: 460' o Number of Poles: 69 o Number of Posts: 46 Line Item 3, "Ferron Cap/Mervin's Spring" o Distance from Trailhead 2.80 miles o 10,600 ft elevation o Approx total feet of Enclosure: 580' The question and answer period closes on the date and time specified on U3P.
