The City of St. Johns is accepting sealed bids for the replacement of defective sidewalk, installation of ADA compliant ramps, curb replacement and restoration. The City of St. Johns is seeking bids for a sidewalk, ADA ramp, and curb project that involves removing and replacing defective sections, as well as restoring newly constructed sidewalk areas. Removal: The existing sidewalk will be removed using approved construction methods. Subbase: The subbase will be leveled to grade. Base Material: A 4" layer of compacted material will be placed for the sidewalk base. Debris Removal: Roots and debris will be cleared before placing the base material. Concrete Forms: The forms will be set so that water does not pond or accumulate on the new walkway. Concrete Pouring: The sidewalk will be poured according to the City's construction standards.
