Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Saint Johns, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The City of St. Johns is accepting sealed bids for the replacement of defective sidewalk, installation of ADA compliant ramps, curb replacement and restoration. The City of St. Johns is seeking bids for a sidewalk, ADA ramp, and curb project that involves removing and replacing defective sections, as well as restoring newly constructed sidewalk areas. The project requires adherence to the City of St. Johns' specific construction standards, which can be accessed either through their website or by contacting Jeremy Ritter directly. Removal: The existing sidewalk will be removed using approved construction methods. Subbase: The subbase will be leveled to grade. Base Material: A 4" layer of compacted material will be placed for the sidewalk base. Debris Removal: Roots and debris will be cleared before placing the base material. Concrete Forms: The forms will be set so that water does not pond or accumulate on the new walkway. Concrete Pouring: The sidewalk will be poured according to the City's construction standards. Yard Restoration: Once the forms are removed, yard restoration will take place, including leveling off the disturbed areas and spreading organic topsoil and grass seed. Removal: Curb and ADA ramps will be removed using approved construction methods. Subbase: The subbase will be leveled to grade. Base Material: A 4" layer of compacted material will be placed for the curb. Curb/Ramp Pouring: The curb and ADA ramps will be poured according to the City's construction standards. Asphalt Repair: After the curb is installed, any over dig in the roadway will be repaired with asphalt to match the new gutter pan grade. Green Space Restoration: Green space areas will be backfilled with organic topsoil, and grass seed will be spread on disturbed areas. These details give a comprehensive view of the work to be done.
