The Buffalo Zoo is soliciting bids for coating the floor in our sea lion viewing area. The current floor is finished concrete and a weather and slip resistant coating has been specified. The zoo will consider all types of coatings provided that the current concrete floor remains as the substrate. Scope of Work Clearly outline the scope of work for the underwater viewing area floor in the sealion exhibit. 2) Proposal Provide a complete cost breakdown including labor and materials 3) WMBE and SDVOB Utilization Plan (Empire State development form OSCSD-4) Submit the completed plan detailing Women/Minority -owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SVVOB) participation The floor should be coated with an epoxy or other coating that is suitable to foot traffic, water and cold weather conditions The area to cover is approximately 800 Square feet The coating will be slip resistant The thickness of the coating will be determined by manufacturers recommendations Contractor is responsible for removal of debris created while performing work The new coating should meet ADA requirements Finished coating will allow water to flow to one of 2 floor drains. There should be no areas where water is allowed to puddle There is a slight chance that the coating may be subjected to salt water Coating shall be bid based on floor covering only. Any bids that include a base board should list this item as an alternate Stairs are not to be included in pricing unless shown as an alternate Bids should include product literature and any samples that will illustrate the final product Color and surface texture will be selected by the owner based on samples provided
