Each item bid must be in a separate envelope, showing the Item Number. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond or Certified Check in the amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of total bid. Bids for petroleum products will not require a bidder's bond. Bid bonds for bridges shall be 10% of 50,000 or $5000. Bidders receiving awards shall furnish approved performance bonds in the amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of their bid. Contracts awarded for petroleum products will not require a performance bond. The Huntington County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor inconsistencies and discrepancies in bids. Current IDOH Standard Specifications are on file in the Huntington County Highway Department and are a part of these specifications where they apply.
