Site work for a water / sewer project in Huntington, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The bids are for furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, etc. necessary for the construction work requested. Bid packages are available from the Huntington County Surveyor's Office. Each bidder shall deposit with his bid a certified check made payable to the Huntington County Drainage Board in the sum of five (5) percent of the amount of the bid or an acceptable bond payable to the Board with sufficient sureties conditioned upon the bidders executing a contract in accordance with his bid, if accepted by the Board, and providing for forfeiture of five (5) percent of the amount of the bid upon his failure to do so. The Contractor to whom the award is made shall furnish acceptable surety in penal form of one hundred and twenty-five percent (125%) of the contract price or a certified check made payable to the Huntington County Drainage Board in the sum of 10 percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. All checks will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The scope ofwork will consist of constructing a new open drain ~8,924 feet from the North Right-of-Way line of State Road 16 to the South Right-of-Way ofCounty Road 700 N. Please see the included plan and profile for the proposed work. The proposed project timeline, if approved by the Board, would be to do the project during tins crop season. Please read and familiarize yourselfwith all the specifications before submitting your bid. Once the work has begun, the Contractor will continue to work on this project daily (except for weekends or weather delays) until the project is completed.
