Site work and paving for a civil project in Shelley, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK (ALL PORTIONS TO BE AWARDED TO ONE CONTRACTOR): Pavement Reconstruction: The project elements include roadway reconstruction of West Fir Street from Yellowstone Highway to Shelley High School and an overlay from Shelley High School to Longhurst Ln. Reconstruction includes removal of bituminous surface, supply and installation of subbases and asphalt, adjustment of valve and manhole covers, traffic control, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm water curb grates, valley gutters, and pavement markings. Potable Water Installation, LSLR and Water Meter Project: The project elements include installing a new potable water line which runs from the County Line to Curtis Brinkman Park, which includes a section where directional drilling will be necessary. The water line then continues north through a portion of the park where it connects to an existing water line, then continues east where it connects to another existing water line on Hanson Ave. This project also includes lead service line replacement (LSLR) work which involves removing galvanized service lines as well as goosenecks and corporation stops containing lead and replacing them with city approved substitutes. Additional work includes fire hydrant installations, sod replacement, driveway repair, path repair, and landscape repair. BID BOND: Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by Bid Bond in the form of a certified cashier's check, or a corporate bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to City of Shelley, Idaho in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The Successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount not less than 100% of the contract price. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relating to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed, in writing, to the ENGINEER for the project. It shall be understood, however, that no interpretations of the specifications will be made by telephone. No clarifications or questions will be answered after Thursday, March 6th at 4:00 PM.
