Site work for a civil project in Greenwood, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of the relocation of 12-inch, 8-inch, and 6-inch diameter potable water lines, valves, fire hydrants, and appurtenances. The project also includes the installation of 12- inch and 16-inch diameter sanitary sewer force mains through existing encasement pipes as well as the relocation of gravity sewer lines and manholes to facilitate the construction of the Highway 59 Realignment Improvements by the Arkansas Department of Transportation, Job No. 040762. All materials shall be in compliance with the "Buy America" requirements of the Federal Regulations 23 U.S.C. 313 and CFR 635.410. Each Bidder must deposit with their Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders must be licensed in conformance with the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Commercial Contractors as defined in Arkansas Code 17- 25-101 and related statutes. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any and all Bids. Bids shall remain firm for a period not to exceed 60 days from the Bid opening date. The Owner encourages participation of small, minority, and woman owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services, and construction, as either a general contractor or subcontractor. Doc Notes: Prospective Bidders are responsible for any reproduction costs of the purchased contract documents. Bids will not be accepted from any Prospective Bidder who has not purchased contract documents through online for assistance in membership registration and downloading digital bidding documents. Bidders will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issued in accordance with the requirements provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Information regarding the number of Addenda that have been duly issued can be obtained from Hawkins-Weir Engineers. Question Deadline 03/05/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three (3) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Installation of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water lines. 2. Installation of 12-inch, 16-inch, and 24-inch steel encasement pipe by dry-bore and open cut. 3. Installation of valves, ductile iron fittings, blowoff hydrants, fire hydrants, tracer wire junction boxes, and other appurtenances. 4. Installation of 6-inch, 8-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch restrained joint ductile iron pipe and casing spacers through steel encasement pipe. 5. Installation of 6-inch, 8-inch, 12-inch and 16-inch tapping sleeves and valves. 6. Pressure testing, disinfecting, flushing, and bacteriological sampling of the utility improvements. 7. Relocating existing water meters and reconnecting meter service lines. 8. Cutting, capping, plugging, and abandoning existing water and sewer lines.
