Bidders shall include their Arkansas license number on the outside of their sealed Bids. Any Bid received after the scheduled opening time will be returned unopened. This project includes the installation of approximately 140 linear feet of 8" restrained joint ductile iron pipe across Heartsill Creek, connections to an existing 8" water line and all necessary appurtenances near the intersection of West Center St. and West Denver St. in Greenwood, Arkansas. It shall be the responsibility of the Bidders to ensure that they get full sets of bid documents including any addenda issued by the Engineer on behalf of the City of Greenwood. Bid documents include Bidding and requirements of the Contract, conditions of the Contract, Technical Specifications, and installation Construction Plans. Bidding contractors are required to inform themselves of all Addenda issued in accordance with the requirements provided in the Instruction to Bidders. All Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to the City of Greenwood, Arkansas in the amount of not less than 5% of the base bid proposal submitted as a guarantee that the Contractor will enter into a written contract, and will furnish the required bonds, should the award be made to the bidder. All Bidders must be licensed in accordance with the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Commercial Contractors as defined in Arkansas Code 17-25-101 and related statues and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. The City of Greenwood, Arkansas reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any and all Bids. Bids shall remain firm for a period not to exceed 60 days from the Bid opening date.
