The Henry County Board of Commissioners is requesting non-cost technical proposals from qualified consultants to design drainage and dam improvements. This project is funded by Henry County Stormwater. The Consultant shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to fulfill the terms and conditions of this bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the time and date set for closing, except as allowed by OCGA. Henry County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities. This project involves the collection of survey data for: a. Dam assessment and design to bring dam(s) into compliance. b. Drainage design for pond(s) retrofit or for new sediment ponds to provide stormwater management utilizing the Unified Stormwater Sizing Criteria outlined in the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual. c. All other work necessary to produce a complete final set of plans suitable for use by a contractor for the construction. At a minimum, for the Engineer-led dam assessment and design shall be an Engineer of Record listed on the EPD Safe Dams list. In addition to completing the dam inspection form, the engineer must also provide a cover letter which summarizes the inspection findings and design the corrective actions to ensure the safety of a dam. The consultant and sub-consultant shall be prequalified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. The design shall be completed within 180 working days from the Notice to Proceed.
