“As of June 5, 2025,the owner has selected a Design Builder. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.” This project will be to design, permit and construct upgrades to existing and/or construct new or replace synthetic sports fields, tennis courts, tracks and support facilities at multiple schools across the District. The schools/sites and anticipated facilities included in this Contract are identified in Attachment A. Project Information: Tacoma Public Schools is planning to release an RFQ inearly March 2025 for Progressive Design-Build (PDB) Services for the proposed Synthetic Fields, Tracks and Tennis CourtsUpgrades Bundle 2 project. **Intent to Bid Due Date: Apr 7th 2025, 2:00 PM PDT The alternate public works design-build contracting procedure authorized in RCW 39.10.300through 39.10.330 will be utilized for the project. Qualified firms with previous PDB project delivery experience areencouraged to submit. This procurement will be for the Design-Build Contractor. The District intends to work with the selectedDesign-Build Contractor to select the design team. Questions Due Date: Mar 26th 2025, 2:00 PM PDT It is anticipated that programming and design will begin in the Summer of 2025 and construction will be phased, beginning in the Fall of 2025 and the final phase of construction will be substantially complete in the Summer of 2030 to allow turn over and use by the District for the beginning of the 2030/31 school year.
