PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Section 288.101, Florida Statutes (F.S.), established the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund (the Program) to promote economic opportunity by improving public infrastructure and enhancing workforce training. Funds provided pursuant to this Agreement must be used to support State or local public infrastructure projects that promote economic recovery in specific regions of the state, economic diversification, or economic enhancement in a targeted industry. Grantee has been awarded $3,217,188.00 for the project consisting of design, permitting and construction of turn lanes on Highway 90 and Jericho Road, paving of approximately 2,400 LF of Jericho Road. Also paving a portion of an east west roadway to county owned parcel and installation of Fiber along Jericho Road. Improvements to the existing at grade railroad crossing of Jericho Road into Giga Site to include enhanced foundation built underneath the existing roadway, upgraded rails, installation of cross arms, signalization and upgraded control equipment cabinet. Hardscape, signage and landscaping improvements to the entrance of Giga Site.
