FMD is procuring services for Asbestos Abatement and re-insulation/thermal blankets. The State of California (State), Department of General Services (DGS), Facilities Management Division (FMD) manages, maintains and operates state buildings and grounds statewide, pursuant to Government Code Section 14685 (a), which authorizes DGS to establish rules and regulations for the government and maintenance of state buildings and grounds. FMD is procuring services for Asbestos Abatement on state property. The services will be performed at the following location: Central Utility Plant (CUP) (Building #095) 625 Q Street Sacramento, CA 95811. The State anticipates a 36 month term for this Agreement. This contract is subject to Prevailing Wage. Contractor and Sub-contractor(s) must be registered with DIR, if required by law to do so, in order to submit a bid. Licenses: a. A Bidder must be registered with the State of California, Secretary of State, if required by law. b. Contractor must possess and maintain, at all times during the term of this Agreement, a valid Class C-22, Asbestos Abatement Contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Contractors State License Board and/or a 7058.5 asbestos certification. Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation: Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 10115 subdivision (c) and Military and Veterans Code (MVC) section 999.2 subdivision (a), Bidders must meet a DVBE participation goal.
