Question Deadline 03/10/2025 at 2:00 PM ET The City of Waterbury, Department of Public Works (hereinafter "City"), is seeking a contractor to provide street light maintenance and services. The City of Waterbury (the "City"), through the Department of Public Works (the "DPW") is seeking sealed proposals for repair, maintenance, replacement and new installation (as needed) to the City's street light system which currently consists of approximately 7,250 street light fixtures and approximately 750 residential street light poles. The City's current make up of street light fixtures consists of approximately 6,870 cobra type fixtures, 170 colonial post top fixtures, 50 floodlight fixtures and 160 decorative fixtures with LED screwin lamps. The City acquired the street light system (fixtures and eligible poles) from Eversource in October 2018 and upgraded all fixtures to LED Design. The Cobra fixtures were upgraded with Philips Road Focus fixtures utilizing 5 different wattages. A detailed inventory will be provided to the Successful Proposer (also referred to herein as "Contractor") prior to execution of contract. The intent of this Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is to enter into as contract, pursuant to Section 38.022 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Waterbury, with the Successful Proposer, as determined by the City. Proposers shall submit a cover letter and documentation that provides the City with a clear understanding of the Proposers ability to provide the City with a comprehensive and responsive Street Light Maintenance Service Program. Additionally, the submission, as required herein, shall include contractor information, qualifications and experience in providing such type of services to a municipality with a street light inventory comparable to the system now owned by the City of Waterbury.
