Renovation of a swimming pool in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
Cost estimate: $303,000 TSB goal: 10% Replacement of steel conduits affected by corrosion. Replacement of existing RW insulation conductors with modern grounded circuits. Replacement of antiquated panelboards with new counterparts rated for their locations (NEMA 1 and NEMA 4X SS). Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed to the Design Professional. Project Information: Substantial Completion: August 15, 2025 Final Completion: October 14, 2025 Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date of opening. The Iowa Board of Regents, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
