The Navajo Nation Division of Natural Resources (DNR) is responsible for the protection, restoration, conservation management, and sustainable development of Navajo natural and cultural resources of the Navajo Nation. The DNR is soliciting bid proposals from qualified sanitation companies/firms with expertise in all phases of sanitation services for the Navajo Nation Home of the Navajo PRCA Rodeo and 77th Annual Navajo Nation Fair to be held at the Navajo Nation Fairgrounds in Window Rock, Arizona Proposal Evaluation and Selection March 12, 2025 Notice of Award to Vendor March 17, 2025. The DNR, hosts large-scale fair, cultural, and sporting events throughout the year, with the most notable Navajo Nation Fair and the newly established "Home of the Navajo," Professional Rodeo. Each of these celebrations will have as many as 100,000 attendees with multiple entertainment events and venues. The DNR is seeking a business to provide sanitation services (Waste Removal) for the Home of the Navajo PRCA Rodeo, scheduled for May 29 - June 2, 2025, and 77th Annual Navajo Nation Fair scheduled for September 2-7, 2025. The selected vendor will be responsible for addressing the crucial issue of sanitation focusing on providing trash removal services for the Rodeo grounds, market venue areas, and other communal areas on the Navajo Nation Fair grounds. Furthermore, the selected vendor will also be responsible for trash pick-up services throughout the four-day event for the Home of the Navajo PRCA Rodeo and the five-day event for the 77th Annual Navajo Nation Fair, in compliance with sanitation requirements of the Office of Environment Health Regulation, US Indian Health Services (I.H.S). The qualified Sanitation Services vendor must have several years of experience in this business area, as well as the qualifications and credibility to provide these services with dependable experience, which may include subcontracting with small businesses and individuals for amenity servicing and provision of additional assistance to facilities. The Sanitation Company should be a certified Navajo-owned, Priority One Certified Business within the Laws of the Navajo Nation.
