Each bidder is required to have a current California Class A - General Engineering and Class C-10 - Electrical Contractor licenses to bid this Contract. See the attached Project Manual for details. General work description: The Work consists of the procurement, installation and commissioning of nine (9) new electric vehicle charging pedestals with two J1772 connectors (a.k.a., "port") on each, two (2) new electric vehicle charging pedestals with one J1772 connector each, and the relocation of accessible parking spaces for the Zone 7 Main Office Building located in Livermore, California. Five (5) dual-port chargers shall be installed for "fleet use." Four (4) dual-port and two (2) single-port chargers shall be installed for "staff/public use." Work also includes, but is not limited to: a. Installation of new 250 kVA step-down transformer and 600A panel board, new 120V feed for new District-provided networking equipment in an existing electrical room. b. Installation of new ADA van accessible and EV parking signage, parking stop bollards, restriping of existing parking and ADA-parking areas affected by EVCS installation. c. Removal and replacement of an existing section of concrete walkway along an ADA accessible route. Contractor shall furnish and install all new equipment as specified in the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check, or bid bond, of not less than ten percent of the total bid price, payable to Zone 7 Water Agency, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening. The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to Zone 7 Water Agency so that it is received within 14 working days after the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty. CONTRACT TIME. Work shall be finally completed within 275 Calendar Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. The contract time is anticipated to commence on or about April 16, 2025.
