SCOPE OF WORK: The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents is generally described as follows: Construction of one new Dissolved Air Flotation Thickener (DAFT), two new polymer storage areas, one new centrate line pad, and miscellaneous site work; Installation of five new polymer activation and injection systems, one new recycle system for dissolved air, and all equipment, piping and appurtenances. ESTIMATED COST: The Engineers estimate is in the $11,500,000 to $13,500,000 range. Question Cut Off Date 3/27/2025 05:00:00 PM (PT) *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. QA Existing sample ports snail remain. Replacement sensors with existing sample ports within 36 of the sensor do not need additional sample ports, assuming the existing ports are fully functional. New sensor Installations shall have a downstream sample port within 36 of the sensor. The specification is revised to include this in Addendum 1. The piping length is about 3 feet. The pipe size for the solids sensor installation is 8. It is acceptable for the contractor to reuse existing saddle supports provided that they are fully functional. The relevant pipes on M28 are 6 pipes. The sheet is revised to include these sizes in the keynotes. M02 is also revised to include the line sizes for the solids sensors. Addendum 1 revisions to sheets MC2, M28, and M29 address difficulty in understanding pipe sizes for solids sensors. The Romac held flanges are not acceptable. The specification is revised to exclude 40 05 00.01 Common Work Results for General Piping in Addendum 1. M14 adjusted In Addendum 1 to correct the scale from 1:T to 1: 12. Drawings 03 and 15 have been revised In Addendum 1 to better clarify the conduit routing from existing building STB41 to new STB# 1 Polymer Storage area. Note, this is exposed surface mounted conduit installation, refer to 1MAGS 1 on drawing E03 for suggested conduit penetration location and routing along surfaces. Conduits routed in this area are defined on ST8#1 Circuit Schedule provided on drawing EO3 Structural sheets ST11, ST12, and STI 5 are revised in Addendum 1 to show separation joints. The 1-3 dimension include separation joints separating proposed concrete from the existing grade. Mitsubishi will not be added to the list of VFD manufacturers in the specifications. The drawings are available in NGEM. Contractor will have to comply with Document 01 25 00 Or Equal Procedures and will be responsible for any manufacturer not listed to meet required parameters. Document 46 33 33 will not be updated Clean water 1 has general information on the alternative product, and the large frame options match the liquid system flow rates in the specification. Specifically their PB60C and PBI000 models are of interest. Section 43 23 13 Horizontal Non-Ctog Centrifugal Pumps 2.046 has been revised in Addendum 1 to have the rated temperature change from 25CF to 100F Detail Typical Stanchion Mounted Light Fixture Installation references Stainless Steel PVC Coated Conduit as well as Rigid PVC Coated Conduit Rigid Steel PVC Coated Conduit is the correct reference. That said, the District will accept Stainless Steel Conduit in lieu of PVC Coated Rigid Steel. Addendum No. 2 4/8/25 - Changes to Specifications QA 4/8/25 Contractor will have to comply with Document 01 2S 00 Or Equal Procedures and will be responsible for any manufacturer not listed to ensure they meet required parameters. Document 13 02 25 will not be updated.
