The City of Albany (City) is requesting proposals from qualified consulting and engineering firms to assist with design of the Buchanan Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project (Project). This document outlines the scope of work for the services. An electronic (PDF) copy of the proposal and the fee estimate, in a separate file, must be submitted to the City Clerk at cityclerk@albanyca.org. The City is seeking the qualified proposer to assist the City to: Manage and complete Preliminary Engineering (PE); Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) for the Project; Provide bidding and advertisement support; The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. This project does not have a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified professionals experienced with bridge maintenance and rehabilitation, the National Bridge Inspection Standards, and the Caltrans Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program (BPMP) to provide design services for the Project. The City intends to seal the bridge deck, address work recommendations outlined in the BIR, perform pavement rehabilitation, and install new medians. This project does not have a DBE participation goal.
