Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Albany, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of August 8, 2025, project was awarded to Ghilotti Bros, awarded amount is $6,129,148.70.** Description: Repair of sidewalks at 36 locations throughout the City including, but not limited to, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway approach, concrete curb and gutter, and as-needed tree maintenance work such as root shaving and root pruning. The estimated construction cost is $5,700,000. This estimated construction cost is for the base contract scope of work and does not include the bid alternate scope of work. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is 250 working days. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Notice of Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and. Location and Description. The Project is located along Marin Avenue in Albany, CA, from Key Route Boulevard to the Albany City Limit at Tulare Avenue, and is described as follows: Work generally includes, but is not limited to, 2-inch to 3-inch HMA milling, 4-inch cold in-place recycling, 2-inch to 3-inch HMA inlay, 12-inch full depth HMA, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and curb ramp improvements, installation of storm drain inlets and other storm drain improvements, installation of traffic striping, pavement markings, and K71 reflective bollards, improvements at existing traffic signals, and installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons. The Project also includes a bid alternative for intersection street lighting improvements.
