**Project is awarded to Seal Coating Inc. Indus of Braintree, MA in the amount of $16.07 a gallon. Construction (Non Building), Transportation Services, Paving Contractor, Road Construction. The Town of Barre intends to issue a contract for the cleaning and sealing (filling) of cracks and joints in existing asphalt pavement. The contract will be bid on a per gallon applied basis. The streets are organized by neighbourhood in the order the Town wants cracks sealed. Bids, on the town's Bid Form, may be submitted as a PDF attachment to an email sent to bids@barretown.org. Use "Crack Sealing Bid" on the subject line. Bidders should receive an auto reply from the bids@barretown.org mailbox confirming receipt of the email; however, it is the bidder's responsibility to confirm the Town received the bid and it can be opened and read. Emailed bids (the attachment) will be opened and printed at the time set for the bid opening. Potential bidders must familiarize themselves with conditions. There is no local vendor allowance for this contract. The successful bidder must supply the Town with an insurance certificate indicating at least $1,000,000 coverage in worker's compensation, automobile liability, and general liability. Bidders may be asked to supply a list of references for similar projects. The work covered by this section of the specification consists of furnishing all plant, Labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform all operations in connection with the cleaning and sealing of construction and random cracks in bituminous concrete pavements, including vegetation removal and sterilization of cracks, where necessary. The deadline to complete work assigned by the Town is June 30, 2025. The streets on which crack sealing is desired are listed below. The streets are organized by neighbourhood. The contractor shall seal the roads in the order in which the neighbourhoods (group) appear on the following list. It is suggested the bidder acquaint themselves with the streets before bidding. The Barre Town Select board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities when they deem it to be in the best interest of the Town. Also, the Town reserves the right to alter the list of streets on which crack sealing is done.
