The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: The project includes all material, labor, and related appurtenances for complete installation of a gravity sewer system as indicated on the construction drawings. The project involves sewer line replacement of existing sewer with 10 HDPE. This work will include the replacement of approximately 1,740 Linear Feet(LF) of 8 & 10 gravity sewer line via pipe bursting, 4 manholes, approximately 27 service laterals, and all related work to be installed to serve residents along Railroad Street and Hotel Street in Adairsville, Georgia. This work also requires bypass pumping and approximately 1,530 Square Feet (SF) of Asphalt Pavement Repair. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. NOTE: The Contractors Affidavit for Electronic Verification of Work Authorization Programs form (E-Verify) shall be executed and submitted as part of the bid package. The time allowed for Substantial Completion from the date of Notice to Proceed is 120 consecutive calendar days. The project has a maximum time for total completion which shall not exceed 150consecutive calendar days from the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the Contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or cash in equal amount. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
