As of July 10, 2025, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Design Services for Memorial Park Pedestrian Bridge Restoration The Township of Maplewood is requesting proposals from individuals and companies to develop the design for the restoration of a pedestrian bridge located in Memorial Park. Services shall include, but is not limited to, the investigation of existing conditions (including structural conditions), recommendations and design of a restoration plan with specifications, and permitting and attending multiple progress meetings. Design Professional will also be responsible for all notice, record keeping, and reporting requirements. All Service Contractors are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-3 et seq. Affirmative Action, P.L. 1975 c. 127 N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. (Contract Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunities in Public Contracts), and N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Disclosure of Ownership). The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
