Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania for the 2025 Butler City Paving Project within the City of Butler, Pennsylvania. The project will include: Contract #1 - Curb Ramp/Sidewalk Replacement - A general scope of work is described as follows: Furnishing all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to remove and replace 45 curb ramps +/-, install new sidewalk and curbs, dispose of all construction waste, and provide traffic control. Contract #2 - Paving - A general scope of work is described as follows: Approximately 24,000 +/- S.Y. of Profile Milling of various depths, Soft Spot Repair, Superpave Virgin Mix Design 19mm Binder Course, Superpave Virgin Mix Design 9.5mm Fine Graded Wearing Course, Asphalt Wedge Curb, Underdrain, Traffic Control, Resident Notification, and Restoration. Millings will become property of Contractor. Mobilization, demobilization, and traffic control costs are incidental to the contract and are not broken out separately. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $200.00 per calendar day/per contract. -- This is a unit price contract. -- Prevailing wage rates apply to this contract. -- Proposals must be submitted upon the forms within the specifications. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the City of Butler in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. The City of Butler reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein.
