Project to include removal of existing storm sewer pipe and inlet frame and grates, installation of storm sewers, inlet frame and grates, mill and 1.5" overlay of project limits, trench and lawn restoration, and traffic control. Question Deadline 03/04/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Butler Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Township reserves the right to waive any bid informalities or to reject any or all bids. If more time is necessary for the determination of the lowest responsible bidder, the Commission of Butler Township reserves the right to award the Contract later but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date Bids were submitted. Such date will be publicly announced immediately after the bids are opened.
