Question Deadline 03/17/2025 at 10:00 PM CT Question Cuttoff Date & Time It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Bond: A Bid Bond is not required for this solicitation. The Awarded vendor will be required to provide a Performance Bond as indicated on Attribute #4. Overview: The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for the installation of a new exhaust system at the heated storage building in Ames as per the attached specifications and drawing. Estimated Project Start Date: April 7, 2025. (Start date to be coordinated with the DOT Project Manager. This is an estimated start date after all required documents are received) Project Completion Date: August 31, 2025. (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT final acceptance date typically used in construction bids). Communication: Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation. All questions must be directed solely to the Purchasing Agent listed in the bid opportunity. We encourage vendor to upload all questions on or before the question cut off due date and time. Responses to questions will be communicated out to vendors via site. Bid Responses shall be submitted within site. Telephonic, email or facsimile responses shall not be considered.
