Project Scope: The District is soliciting bids to establish a contract with a qualified vendor(s)to fulfill its needs for Distribution Transformers on an as-needed basis for up to three (3) years. The Parties willhave the option to renew the contract for one (1) additional, one (1)-year term upon mutual agreement of the Parties. Pricingfor the one (1)-year contract renewal will be negotiated and mutually agreed upon by the Parties prior to the expiration of the initial contract term. Bid Security: Only written, sealed bids will be received and considered. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by a certified cashiers check, or by a bid bond, payable tothe order of the District, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid (RCW 54.04.080). Thebid bond or certified cashiers check must be enclosed in the sealed envelope with the bid at the time the bid is submitted toor received by the District. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by a signed certified or cashiers check, or by asigned bid bond, payable to the order of the District, for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bidwithout taxes. Only written, sealed bids will be received and considered. All bids mustbe sealed and marked with the name of the project and bid opening date. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any portion of bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. All bids and related materials are subject to public review pursuant to the Public Records Act (RCW Chapter 42.56). Bidders claiming any exemption from public disclosure shall indemnify and hold the District harmless from any and all costs arising out of a public records request that the bidder claims contain protected documents or trade secrets.
