COMPLETION DATE: November 14, 2025 The total estimated construction cost for the base bid Work for the Project for which the City is soliciting bids at this time is a Base Bid of $768,289.03 If a Bidder contemplating submitting a Bid for the proposed Project is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, it may submit a written request for an interpretation thereof to City of Lorain, Engineering Department in writing on the form included with the Contract Documents. Inquiries shall be emailed to Jessica_Potter@cityoflorain.org to the attention of Jessica Potter. The City will make any interpretation of the proposed documents by Addendum only, duly signed by the City, and a copy of such Addendum will be mailed or delivered to each Bidder receiving a set of Contract Documents and each plan room where the City maintains the Contract Documents. The City will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed documents. Bidders must be listed on the ODOT pre-qualified list for highway construction. Bidders shall submit a list of available equipment, and labor shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce for Lorain County. Bids must be accompanied by Certified Check or Cashiers Check or Letter of Credit equals to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a bond for the full amount of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and a performance bond properly secured. Should any bid be rejected, such instrument will be forthwith returned upon proper execution of a contract. Cash deposits will not be accepted.
