Pearl Avenue and Tacoma Avenue Pump Station Improvements Completion Date: No Later Than December 1, 2027 The total estimated construction cost for the base bid Work for the Project for which the City is soliciting bids at this time is a Base Bid of $17,326,786. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Cashiers Check, or Letter of Credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a bond for the full amount of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and a performance bond properly secured. Should any bid be rejected, such instrument will be forthwith returned upon proper execution of a contract. Cash deposits will not be accepted. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, o national origin. All bidders must comply with the provisions of the American Disabilities Act. All federal minority business enterprise and women business enterprise requirements shall be met. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. This project is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates established by the federal Davis- Bacon Wage Determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code apply to this project. Copies of Section 153.011 of the Revised Code can be obtained from any of the offices of the Department of Administrative Services. This project is subject to requirements related to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) utilization, Equal Employment Opportunity Certification, the City of Lorains local labor preferences, and other provisions.
