All questions shall be submitted in writing/email to the City Engineer no later than 2:00 PM, July 31, 2025. As of June 02, 2025, bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. CMAQ - Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality The work to be performed includes but not limited to the installation of wireless and fiber optic traffic signal communication to accommodate traffic signal synchronization. Work shall include the hardware installation, computer set up and communication with 32 traffic signals throughout the City of Merced.. Such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, City of Merced Standard Designs and the Special Provisions shall be performed, placed, constructed or installed. The project is located on R street from 15th Street to Yosemite Avenue; on M Street from Main Street to Iron Stone Drive; on G Street from Yosemite Avenue to Farmland Avenue; on Olive Avenue from Loughborough Avenue to Park Avenue and on Yosemite Avenue from El Dorado Drive to Stadium Lane in the City of Merced, California. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and reject all other bids, as it may be best serve the interest of the City; (b) The ranking of bids will be based on the combination of bid schedules that the City awards; (c) As a condition of award, the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond each in the full amount of the contract price. The successful bidder will also be required to submit proof of insurance for work involved. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to the City of Merced. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A license at the time of submitting bids. Section 3-1.06, "Contractor License," of the Standard Specifications is amended to read: Attention is also directed to the provisions of Public Contract Code Section 10164. For Federal-aid contract, the Contractor must be properly licensed as a Contractor from contract award through contract acceptance.
