Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Crandon, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,083-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Sealed bids for the project designated above will be received for and on behalf of the Forest County, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, at the location listed above, on or before the above-mentioned time and date, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work of this contract consists of the construction of a 1,083 SF addition to the Forest County Courthouse. The work includes sitework, excavation, backfill, compaction and the installation of a cast in place foundation and on-grade reinforced concrete slab over rigid insulation. The sitework includes a cast in place concrete stab over engineered and compacted fill. In addition to the patio, three landscape planters will be installed that include power and lighting. The addition is a single story, 10 ft high metal stud framed side walls with a steel stud framed roof with wood decking. The roofing will consist of a Single ply membrane over tapered and flat rigid insulation with a primary and secondary roof drain connected to a newly installed storm sewer. The interior walls will be finished with gypsum wall board and the ceiling will consist of 2ft x 2ft ACT in an exposed grid. The interior doors will be pre-finished oak in painted steel jambs. The exterior doors will be aluminum store front with Low E glazing. One existing store front door will be relocated in the addition and one door will be new to match the existing. One interior door will be 3-hr fire rated. All remaining doors will not be required to have a fire rating. The floor covering will consist of walk-off-carpet tile in the vestibule and LVT plank flooring elsewhere. All base trim will be 4" vinyl. The exterior of the addition will be finished with a 4" clay brick veneer with a cast in place stone base and a horizontal frieze banding. HVAC will be provided with a high-efficiency gas furnace and roof-mounted condensing unit. Power and lighting will be provided from the existing electrical service from within the courthouse. A 10% bid bond and 100% material and labor payment/ performance bond will be required for this work.
