Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Description: The project generally consists of reconstructing the roadway to an urban section including storm sewer, and consists of the following approximate quantities: 1,775 CY Excavation Common 2,575 TON Base Aggregate Dense 700 TON HMA Pavement 2,190 LF Concrete Curb and Gutter 2,690 SY Restoration 1,360 LF Storm Sewer (12-Inch to 24-Inch) 4 EACH Adjust/Reconstruct Sanitary Sewer Manholes 6 EACH Adjust Water Valve Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond as bid security, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Village of Mt. Calvary as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of Contract. Should any bid be rejected, such bid security will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the Contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the Contract and Performance Bond, the amount of the bid bond shall be forfeited to the Village of Mt. Calvary as liquidated damages.
