If the total bid amount is greater than $300,000, the successful Bidder will be required to furnish: a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount for contracts costing more than $50,000 that are part of a project costing more than $300,000. Caldwell County (hereinafter "County") is requesting bids from qualifies Contractors to design, construct and install canopy additions to the Alden E. Starnes County Office Plaza. The scope encompasses structural modifications, foundation adjustments and erection of roof framing and canopy structures as per the provided construction drawings. 1. Foundation and Slab Modifications a. Reference Drawings: S100, S100A b. Description: i. Construct new foundations to support the canopy structures ii. Install concrete slabs as indicated in the plans. Alternate layouts are provided (S100A) for design variations. iii. Work includes soil preparation, formwork, rebar placement, concrete pouring and finishing. 2. Roof Framing Plan a. Reference Drawings: S101, S1001A b. Descriptions: i. Design and install roof framing for the canopies, ensuring compatibility with the existing building. ii. Provide structural connections as detailed in the drawings. Alternate roof framing designs are indicated (S101A) iii. Materials include structural steel and connectors as specified. 3. Canopy Elevations a. Reference Drawings: S1012, S102A b. Description: i. Fabricate and install canopy elevations, ensuring precise alignment with building facades. ii. Incorporate design alternates (S102A) for elevation variations. 4. General Notes, Sections and Details a. Reference Drawings: S200, S201, S202 b. Description: i. Adhere to general construction notes and specifications for structural integrity and aesthetic compliance. ii. Construct as per the provided sections and details ensuring accurate implementation of welding, bolting and coating processes.
