Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 140,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 3,000-seat recreation facility; and stadium.
Plans call for a new indoor/outdoor public event park in ICE District. The facility will feature flexible venues for up to 6,000 fans outdoors, more than 3,000 guests indoors, and community-accessible spaces for residents. Purpose-built for exceptional acoustics and advanced production capabilities, the venues will feature state-of-the-art staging, sound, and lighting to attract popular touring acts, headline performances, signature cultural gatherings, and sporting events. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals for Prime Consultant services has been issued. The owner is currently seeking an independent Fairness Advisor to oversee the Construction Manager (CM) selection; a CM would be awarded a contract no later than May 1, 2026. *Project owners are City of Edmonton and the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG). *Total project cost is $250M. Estimated construction cost is $170M.
