As of June 18, 2025, the project has been awarded to Burke Construction Group, Inc. They are awaiting the Notice to Proceed from the owner. A firm construction timeline is currently unknown. The previous solicitation is for reference purposes only. Bids shall be accepted from qualified, experienced and licensed general contractors to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, tools, permitting, safety measures and all other necessary incidentals for improvements at the improvements to CITYs Windmill Ranch Park. Windmill Ranch Park is located at 2900 Bonaventure Blvd, Weston, FL 33331. The scope of work includes re construction of the entire park including but not limited to a parking lot, restroom building, walkways, multipurpose court, sand volleyball courts, Bermuda turf open field, playground structures and related park amenities, associated water, wastewater, stormwater systems, lighting and electrical work all in accordance with the plans and specifications provided with this bid. Windmill Ranch Park, the project site, is situated adjacent to an elementary school. As such, the Contractor is fully responsible for ensuring the implementation of construction fencing and maintaining a secure and vigilant construction site. These requirements must be strictly adhered to at all times. Additionally, any closures of roadways during school drop-off or pickup hours are strictly prohibited. Simultaneous with the delivery of the executed contract to the CITY upon award, the Contractor shall furnish an executed Performance and Payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract value, as security for the faithful performance of contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor and/or furnishing materials in connection with the Project. The required sections of the Project Manual shall be submitted as part of the Bid. EXPERIENCE Along with the sealed bids, all Bidders shall provide the necessary documentation to demonstrate that they meet the following qualifications: i) Bidders shall have been incorporated and in continuous operation for a minimum of the past five (5) years immediately preceding the date that the Bid is issued; ii) Bidders shall be fully licensed general contractors with all required State and/or local government licenses - copies of the licenses shall be provided; and iii) Bidders shall provide evidence of the successful completion of projects of similar size and scope with at least three (3) projects within the last five (5) years immediately preceding the date that the Bid is issued.
