The District is seeking proposals for the conversion of existing warehouse space into seven offices and two lockable storage spaces. Description of Lawrence Public School District Lawrence Public Schools serves approximately 10,646 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in Lawrence, Kansas. Lawrence, a city with a population of 95,000, is located 45 minutes west of Kansas City and 30 minutes east of Topeka. The district is the seventh largest in Kansas and includes 23 school campuses and various specialized centers. The 23 school campuses, including an early childhood program (birth-age 5), 11 elementary schools (grades K-5), featuring the first public Montessori school in Kansas, four middle schools (grades 6-8), and two comprehensive high schools (grades 9-12). Additionally, we have the NSBA Award-Winning College and Career Center (grades 9-12), a K-12 virtual school, the Pinckney Community Connections Center for students ages 18-21, Adult Education Services (ages 18+), the Native American Support Services (NASS) building, the Facilities & Operations (F&O) campus, and the Educational Support Center (ESC).
