For the collection and disposition and curbside recycling of solid waste. Bidders with questions regarding the specifications may submit questions in writing to the City of Anderson, attention David Eicks, Chairman, Board of Public Works, 120 East 8th Street, P.O. Box 2100,Anderson, Indiana, 46018. Bidders having their principal place of business within Indiana shall file a bond with their bid in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the Bidders total base rate bid for the first contract year. Bidders not having their principal place of business within the State of Indiana shall submit a certified check for said amount with their bid made payable to the City of Anderson; or, at their election, may file a like bond provided that said bond is secured by a surety having his principal place of business in Indiana. The successful bidder will also be required to furnisha performance bond in the sum of fifty (50%) percent of the first year s estimated annual billing or Two hundred Fifty thousand ($250,000.00) Dollars, whichever is greater. The City of Anderson reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive technicalities.
