Renovation of a municipal facility in Anderson, Indiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Due to the need for the chiller to be compatible with the existing HVAC system, only bids for the make and model contained within the bid guide specifications will be accepted. The proposal should consist of the following properly and completely executed documents: (1) Bid proposals shall be submitted on General Bid Form 96 as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts. (2) Each bid proposal shall include a properly executed non-collusion affidavit as required by the statues of the State of Indiana. (3) Bid Security: Pursuant to Indiana Statute I.C. 36-1-9-6, a bidder shall file a certified check or bid bond with each bid, in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the total bid proposal, as evidence of good faith that the successful bidder will execute within ten (10) consecutive calendar days from the acceptance of the bid proposal, a contract as set out in the specifications. Failure of a bidder to enter into a contract, execute same and furnish acceptable labor and materials and performance bond as hereinafter required, shall be cause for forfeiture of certified check or bid bond for liquidated damages to the City. Bidder will not be permitted to withdraw his bid for sixty (60) days from date of bid opening. The Board of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any and all bids. CITY OF ANDERSON, INDIANA BY AND THROUGH ITS BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS Intent of Specifications: It is the intent ofthese specifications to cover the purchase, delivery, and installation of a new outdoor chiller system for the existing HVAC system at the City of Anderson City Hall. The chiller must be compatible with the existing HVAC system in the building. As such any unit proposed for purchase must be capable of being installed without significant change to the existing infrastructure of the HVAC, and must be able to fit within the footprint of the infrastructure. In general, due to the need for compatibility with the existing HVAC infrastructure, the Board intends to purchase a Carrier Model Number 30RC, all in accordance with the Guide Specifications attached hereto, and marked as Exhibit A. Inspection of the current HVAC system is available via Mr. Reese. Exceptions Nothing in these specifications is intended to limit or exclude any manufacturerfrom bidding. Where parts or items differ, but are of equal functionality and quality, exceptions may be taken. When taking an exception please use a separate paper note the exception, your proposal for replacement and a description of why this is equal to a superior to the item specified herein. Supplier Qualifications In orderto assess the ability of the supplier to fulfil the requirements ofthese specifications throughout the lifecycle of the items specified, a list of references of past customers shall be provided. Legal Requirements Please see the legal notice included at the front of this document, for the bid bond and affidavits required by Indiana Statute. Bid Evaluation Bids shall be evaluated on, but not be limited to Responsiveness to specifications Supplier capabilities and reliability Approximate time stated in number of days needed to deliver and fully install the unit Warranties Maintenance contracts Price Availability and location of service Detailed Specifications for the chiller unit sought shall be per Exhibit A the Guide Specifications attached hereto. Training Proper use and safe operation training of the chiller shall be provided to the City.
