PROJECT LOCATION Clover Elementary School, located at 11020 Clover Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90034 This is an emergency project that resulted from the Soil testing that was performed as part of the Preliminary Environmental Assessment Equivalent (PEA-E) requested by OEHS for the main project Classroom Replacement at Clover ES. The scope of work required for the Grass Field Replacement includes the remediation of arsenic-impacted soil in unpaved playgrounds, landscape areas, tree wells, and other designated Areas of Concern (AOCs). Excavation will occur to depths of 1 to 3 feet below surface, with approximately 6,854 excavated cubic yards of impacted soil to be removed--294 cubic yards classified as hazardous waste and 6,560 cubic yards as non-hazardous. Following soil removal, clean soil will be imported, and the site will be regraded, with new irrigation systems and vegetation planted in remediated areas. All activities will adhere to LAUSD Environmental Specifications, ensuring safety, compliance, and environmental protection. The remaining scope for the Classroom Replacement Project will be performed through a second contract.
