The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and 'to award the bid or bids in any manner the City determines to be in the best interest. The City may award the bid or bids herein invited to the lowest responsible bidder. The City will accept any bids that meet or exceed the attached specifications or equivalent specifications. The prices quoted must include shipment charges from seller to buyer. I) Each area will be cleaned up prior to mowing. All trash will be collected and any mowed or scattered trash will also be picked up and properly disposed of. Certain designated areas will need to have the grass clippings bagged and hauled off. 2) All areas should be mowed once every week unless otherwise noted by location. 3) The cutting height can vary, but the final height after mowing shall be between 2 h" and 4". 4) The areas shall not be scalped nor shall there be windrows of clippings scattered across the area or onto paved surfaces. 5) The area should have an appealing appearance when complete. 6) Safety while mowing the areas is the responsibility of the contractor. The Street Department strongly encourages the contractor to walkover the area prior to mowing to detect bottles or other trash and to work safely with regard to traffic, be it vehicular or pedestrian. The contractor shall abide by all parking regulations. 7) The contractor shall accomplish all trimming around signs, posts, fences, sidewalks, curbs, and etc. Questions relative to this bid shall be submitted in writing and addressed to City of Scottsboro Street Department or by contacting Todd Bradford at 256-599-0014. Length of contract shall be for nine months, beginning April I, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, with the option to renew for an additional one (I) calendar year.
