Reference Number RFB-CC-0000000014 The City of Port Jervis is seeking bids for reflectorized pavement marking paint to be used for various projects throughout the 2025 season. Purchase Type Term: 04/10/2025 08:00 PM EDT - 04/09/2026 08:00 PM EDT Delivery Point 1 Franklin Street PORT JERVIS, New York United States 12771 Question Acceptance Deadline 04/03/2025 02:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Award Requirements - Reserve Rights to Award by Line Item *The city of port jervis reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Under this work, the Contractor shall furnish and apply painted reflectorized pavement marking paint at the locations and in accordance with the patterns indicated on the plans or as directed by the Engineer, and in accordance with the NYSMUTCD and these specifications. All pavement markings and patterns shall be placed as shown in the contract documents and in accordance with the New York State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Before any pavement marking work is begun, a schedule of operations shall be submitted to and approved by the Engineer. When pavement markings are applied under traffic, the Contractor shall provide all of the necessary flags, signs, cones, shadow vehicles, flashing arrow boards, etc., to maintain and protect traffic, to protect the work operation, and to protect the painted pavement markings until thoroughly dry and serviceable. No additional payment will be made for these items. The application of pavement markings shall be done in the general direction of traffic. Striping against the direction pf normal flow of traffic shall not be allowed. The Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning the pavement, to the satisfaction of the Engineer, of dust, dirt, and other foreign matter, which may be detrimental to the adhesion of the paint film. When necessary, the Contractor shall establish marking line points at nine (9) meter intervals throughout the length of the pavement or as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing, to the satisfaction of the Engineer, all tracking marks, spilled paint, and paint applied in unauthorized areas. The right is reserved to reject any/or all bids; and to accept the bid which is believed to be in the best interest of the City of Port Jervis. Successful bidder shall furnish services as directed by The office of the Director of Public Works or his representative, 1 Franklin Street, Port Jervis, New York unless otherwise stated in the specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a contract for furnishing of services as hereinafter specified. The City of Port Jervis will require satisfactory evidence be placed before it that said bidder is responsible and that he has sufficient capital, ability, experience, and plant facility to properly execute the contract. Bidders are instructed to insert quote of the unit price if space is indicated on the specifications in the event the CITY does not desire all items herein specified or the quantity set forth.
