Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hamburg, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Project involves developing and enhancing Hamburg Township's 384-acre Manly W. Bennett Memorial Park to improve accessibility and site conditions. Planned upgrades include site grading, replacing 700 linear feet of HMA path and 3250 linear feet of linear crushed limestone path, adding three new playground pods, and removing and replacing the existing canoe and kayak launch. A crushed limestone path will be constructed to Hall's Creek, a tributary of the Huron River, ensuring ADA access to the Huron River Water Trail. The improvements will also feature interpretive signage, safety surfacing (poured-in-place and engineered wood fiber), a rain garden, native plantings, a bench, and landscaping.
