The Proposals must be made to the Borough of Dormont, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Proposal guarantee. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workmans Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreements. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder s Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Borough of Dormont in an amount equal to ten percent(10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. Contractor must also submit a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with their bid or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein. Project includes elimination of inflow and infiltration into eleven (11) manholes, grouting of designated sewer joints and service lateral wyes, traffic control as may be required, and all required, cleanup and site restoration. Additional Description: Repair #11 - Is the rehabilitation of Manhole 819-564 located along the diurnal stream bank of unimproved Linden Avenue. Prospective bidders are advised that access to the work site is limited due to its remote location and not accessible by heavy equipment. Access may be achieved along the extension of Linden Avenue from LaSalle Avenue, which is Borough right-of-way. More direct access may be achieved through the private properties that back up to Linden Avenue off Louisiana Avenue or Dwight Avenue. Contractor would be responsible for negotiating an access agreement with the selected property owner, and solely responsible for any and all restoration measures required.
