UNMH is requesting proposals from experienced general contractors to provide the materials and services necessary for the construction of the new CPC Project. Our patient care mission encompasses serving as an accessible, high quality, safety focused, comprehensive care provider for all the people of Bernalillo County, and providing specialized services for people across the State. Our education mission focuses on creating a patient care environment, which is supportive of the educational programs of the UNMHSC health professional schools. Our research mission focuses on the application of new biomedical knowledge, translated to innovative patient care programs and models of health care delivery, leading to health status improvement for New Mexicans Deadline to Submit Written Questions via LoboMart -Question Submission Close Date 4/4/2025 5:00 PM MDT The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) is soliciting proposals from General Contractors to provide construction services for all materials and services required to fulfill the scope of work for new construction at 9600 Gibson Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. The purchase of materials and/or services awarded under this Request will be subject to the Terms and Conditions as well as all statements contained in this Request for Proposal. New Mexico criminal law prohibits bribes, gratuities and kickbacks (13-1-28 through 13-1-199, NMSA 1978) UNMH views utilization of local vendors, suppliers and contractors as good sustainable practice. As such, UNMH strongly encourages offerers to solicit and consider local New Mexico Business community members in preparing proposal offers. The Scope of Work for the Sandia Vista Primary Care Clinic (SVC) shall include the following key elements outlined herein. This includes new construction of a 16,735 gsf primary care clinic with 22 exam rooms, retail pharmacy, blood-draw with small laboratory processing room, general radiology suite, rehabilitation services room, conference/community room, retinal scanner room, and necessary patient and staff support services as required by code recognized by authorities having jurisdiction. Given the critical facility equipment, life safety components, and security, the new building is to be served by an on-site generator with docking station. The project site is 6.9 acres and includes site development for designated separate patient and staff parking areas, emergency responder access, ambulance and services loading zone, an entry plaza, and regional landscaping throughout the immediate building and parking areas. By submitting this proposal, the Consultant is agreeing to abide by UNMH's terms and conditions as referenced below: o Conditions of the Owner/Contractor Agreement o University of New Mexico General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, 2012 Edition, Revised 06-17-13 o University of New Mexico Hospitals Supplementary Conditions o Adherence to UNMH standards and guidelines including EOC, FGI, NFPA, and ASHRAE o Coordination between owner contractors. Contractor will abide by the Owners schedule in conjunction with the Owner's schedule. Contractor agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of Liquidated Damages Amount (one thousand five hundred ($1,500.00) for each consecutive calendar day after the stipulated contract time the work remains incomplete The Bidder agrees to commence work under this contract on or before the date specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" issued by the Owner or his representatives and to fully complete the project within 300 calendar days thereafter, including weather delays. The Bidder also agrees to meet other scheduling requirements of these contract documents. The project consists of the construction of a one-story building on the southwest corner of Gibson and 98th Street, owned by UNM Hospital Planning & Construction. Loading was estimated as follows: maximum column loads - 50 kips (1 kip = 1000 pounds) and maximum wall loads - 1.5 kips per foot. The approximate location of the project can be seen in the Site and Exploration Plan, Appendix A. Spread-footing foundations are anticipated for design. *Qualifications are required for the following subcontractors: MEP, Fire Suppression, Access Flooring, and Concrete.
