The bulk of work to be performed will including installation of 4"- 8" IPS HDPE and 12"-16" coated steel low-pressure (LP) natural gas mains and 1.25"-4" LP plastic services as part of the PHMSA FY22 NGDISM Grant funded project in the City of Holyoke, Massachusetts, hereinafter referred to as "Municipality". Most services will be HDPE plastic direct buried or directional bored to an outside riser but insertion may be used when possible. Affected meter sets that are already outside will be reconnected to the new main or a new outside riser by the Contractor. Affected meter sets that are inside will be piped through the wall by HG&E personnel or another third-party contractor. In no case shall re-piping or reconnection be performed more than ten (10) feet downstream of the outlet of the existing meter(s) by the Contractor. The work includes removal of existing pavement, concrete, unsuitable soil, and installation and backfilling of the trenches in accordance with applicable state and local restoration standards including all required permit conditions. The Contractor will perform live main connection and abandonment. Billings for such operations will consist of a combination of unit price charges where definable and time and material charges for the balance. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Gas Construction Contractor to perform natural gas distribution pipeline upgrades including but not limited to main and service installations and abandonment, as well as any required street, sidewalk and lawn restoration as part of a HG&E's federally funded PHMSA FY22 NGDISM Grant project. These construction services are anticipated to begin in Q2 2025 and be completed by Q4 2026. All bidders are required to submit a bid deposit equal to $150,000.
