The Madison Town Campus Gym is an approximately 13,000 square foot facility that includes a full gymnasium, fitness center, and group exercise class space that hosts public programming year-round. The Town has received a grant administered by the State Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) to supplement local Capital Improvement Funds to finance this project. The intent of the project is to modernize the look and feel of the Women's Toilet Room, Women's Locker Room shower area, as well as the Men's combined locker room/shower area. The facility (other than the toilet/locker rooms) will remain operational during this project, requiring contractors to utilize extra caution, compartmentalize work spaces, and mitigate noise/disturbance to adjacent areas. Portable toilets will be provided (by others) for building users, so contractors can disrupt water service as-needed throughout the project duration. The resultant contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements.
