Site work and paving for a civil project in Madison, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes construction of connection to existing water main, installation approximately 7,200 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main and associated fittings, installation of 8 hydrants, temporary and permanent trench repair, driveway repair, entire lane milling and overlay, line striping, restoration of all disturbed areas and associated work. Bids Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond in the Amount of Five Percent of the Bid. The Selected Contractor Shall Furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in Amount at Least Equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price as Stipulated in Section 00 72 00 General Conditions of These Specifications. The Selected Contractor Shall Comply With the Requirements of Prevailing Wage Rate Laws in Accordance With Section 31-53 of the Connecticut General Statues. The Bidder for This Project Shall Hold a Current Das Contractor Pre-qualifications Certificate for Sewer and Water Lines From the Department of Administrative Services (Das) of the State of Ct According to Cgs Section 4b-91. Bidders Shall Submit With Their Bids a Copy of Das Contractor Prequalification Certificate Along With the Current Update Bid Statement. In Addition, Any Named Subcontractor Whose Subcontract Value is Equal to or Greater Than $500,000 Shall Hold a Current Das Contractor Prequalification Certificate in the Closest Applicable Classification of the Work That the Subcontractor Will Complete in the Contact. The Bidder Must Submit With Their Bid, All Applicable Subcontractor Das Prequalification Certificates. Any Bid Submitted Without a Copy of the Das Prequalification Certificate and an Update Bid Statement for the Bidder and Das Prequalification Certificate for Subcontractors Whose Subcontract Value is Equal to or Greater Than $500,000 Shall Be Invalid. By Submission of a Bid, the Bidder Understand That the Time Period for Holding Bids is 90 Days, Saturdays, Sundays and Legal Holidays Excluded, After the Opening of Bids. The Owner Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities in Bids and to Reject Any or All Bids. Any request for interpretation of plans and specifications may be submitted in writing per the requirements listed in the Instructions to Bidders.
