3rd Avenue Reconstruction and Utility Replacement This project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 1,700 LF of 3rd Avenue from Irene Street to Greta Street, including, but not limited to, excavation, grading, crushed surfacing materials, hot mix asphalt, storm drainage facilities, cement concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, replacement of water main and sewer main along 3rd Avenue and adjacent areas, pavement markings, surface restoration, utility adjustments, and other work all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, Special Provisions, and the Standard Specifications ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE $2,300,000 - $2,500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "City of Okanogan" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount. Subject to any extensions of the Contract Time granted under the Contract, the undersigned agrees to substantially complete the Work required under this Contract within 130 working days (the Substantial Completion Date) and to physically complete the Work required under this contract within 140 working days (the Physical Completion Date) from when Contract Time begins. The undersigned has reviewed and fully understands the provisions in the Contract regarding liquidated damages and agrees that liquidated damages shall be $1,500.00 per day for each and every working day beyond the Contract Time allowed for substantial completion until the Substantial Completion Date is achieved and $750.00 for each and every working day required beyond the Contract Time for physical completion until the Physical Completion Date is achieved.
